About this file
This PowerPoint presentation outlines a mandatory pre-proposal meeting for RFP730-25000 issued by the University of Houston for the Houston Science Center New Fire Alarm Panel, Pump Replacement and Fire Sprinkler System project. The project involves replacing the existing fire alarm panel and fire pump, along with installing a new fire sprinkler system, with all specifications prepared by HUITT-ZOLLARS. The mandatory pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for January 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM CT, with all proposals due to the University of Houston Purchasing Department. Eric Shen is designated as the sole point of contact for all communications regarding this RFP, and all submissions must be delivered to the specified address at 5000 Gulf Freeway Building.
The RFP includes specific HUB (Historically Underutilized Business) requirements with a mandatory subcontracting goal of 21.1% of the total contract value. Respondents must submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan (HSP) in a separate sealed envelope with a USB drive, and the University's HUB Operations Department offers a courtesy review with a 10-day turnaround time. The presentation includes bonding requirements and emphasizes that successful respondents must demonstrate good faith efforts to meet the HUB subcontracting goals. A video tutorial for HSP paperwork completion is provided via SharePoint link.
