About this file

This is an addendum issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) for solicitation 405-25R0002669 regarding the El Paso Monopole Tower & Installation project. The addendum provides answers to 18 submitted questions about technical specifications and requirements, extends the bid due date from January 17, 2025 to January 21, 2025 at 5:00 PM CT, and includes a site visit sign-in sheet. Key project requirements include a climbable 40' monopole tower, installation of an ice bridge between building and tower, R56-compliant grounding, hand holds at 38' and 12' heights, interior cable routing, and contractor responsibility for installing equipment/cabling and removing/replacing paving stones and rock at the installation site.

The contractor must provide service calls at no additional cost for the life of the contract and warranty calls for the lifetime of the tower warranty. No geotechnical report is required, but engineering drawings of the proposed monopole must be submitted. No FCC Antenna Structure Registration is required due to the tower height, with DPS handling any necessary FCC registrations. While no specific pricing structure is outlined, vendors must include all potential service call costs in their bid pricing. Construction timeline is not specifically defined but must be completed within a reasonable timeframe after project start, with contractors required to submit a project timeline with their bid.
