About this file
This is a construction bid package from Sam Houston State University/Texas State University System containing detailed architectural drawings and specifications for re-roofing the Information Technology Support Building (ITSB) in Huntsville, Texas. The project involves installing a new fully adhered 80mil PVC roofing system over the existing metal roof, including removal and reinstallation of lightning protection, installation of new wood nailers, flute fillers, 2.5" ISO insulation, 1/2" gypsum coverboard, decorative standing seams at 18" on center, and new gutters and downspouts. The building dimensions are approximately 90' x 44' with a 4:12 gable roof slope reaching 15' in height. The project must comply with 2024 International Building Codes, 2021 Energy and Fire Prevention Codes, and 2020 National Electrical Code standards.
The technical specifications require minimum R-25ci insulation value (estimated total R-value over R-45 with existing insulation), and cool roof factors including 3-year aged minimum solar reflectance of 0.55, thermal emittance of 0.75, and SRI of 64. Wind uplift requirements specify design pressures ranging from 33.7 psf in Zone 1 to 58.4 psf in Zone 3R, with the building classified as Risk Category IV with 130 mph basic wind speed per ASCE 7-16. The drawings include detailed installation specifications for roof assembly components, flashing details, and drainage systems, though specific pricing information and completion schedules are not included in these technical documents.
