About this file
This Statement of Work Recommendations file outlines testing requirements for the Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS) Law Enforcement Promotional Testing program. The document specifies that vendors must provide a minimum of two testing facilities in each of the six TXDPS Regions in Texas, with testing centers equipped with computers, audio/video recording capabilities, encrypted data servers, physical dividers, and secure storage lockers. The facilities must maintain appropriate testing conditions including temperature control, lighting, and adequate space. Additionally, vendors must provide online remote proctoring options, web-based test scheduling, and electronic scoring with results delivered to both testers and TXDPS.
Pricing is structured on a per-exam basis, inclusive of all costs for both testing center and online remote proctoring options. Payment will be processed through TXDPS-issued procurement cards, with vendors required to have established procedures for collecting and tracking candidate fees, including an alternate payment system if needed. The vendor must maintain testing data for a minimum of two years, accommodate law enforcement equipment during testing (excluding electronic devices), and provide refunds or credits for extenuating circumstances. Security measures include proper identification verification through Texas Driver License and TXDPS ID, while allowing testers to retain necessary emergency equipment like firearms and handcuffs during exams.
