About this file

This document is an Addendum for Invitation for Bid (IFB) #IFB-25-003 issued by the Texas A&M Forest Service (TAFS). The IFB is for the procurement of Kenwood multiband mobile radios, control head kits, microphones, and antennas. TAFS is seeking bids for eight of each specified model, accessories, and antennas to maintain commonality with existing equipment. The bid must be received by November 19, 2024 at 10:00 AM Central Time, and the awarded vendor will be required to hold pricing firm for 12 months from the bid opening date. TAFS reserves the right to purchase additional quantities within 60 days of the award at the same terms and conditions.

The evaluation criteria for award include pricing, delivery, the vendor's ability and capacity, previous experience with TAFS, and any other factors TAFS deems relevant. TAFS reserves the right to reject any and all bids. No Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Subcontracting Plan is required for this procurement, as TAFS has determined that subcontracting opportunities are not probable. The contract opportunity is specific to Brazos County in the state of Texas, and there is no listed incumbent vendor or current contractor. The procurement does not have any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, and the budget range for the contract is not provided.

RE: Invitation for Bid #IFB-25-003 Kenwood Multiband Mobile Radios

The following additions, corrections, clarifications, and/or deletions are made to the above referenced Invitation For Bid:

1. The bid does not need to include NMO coax.

2. The bid does not need to include RF connectors.

3. The NMO VHF spring mount antenna is specified as:

“Tram ¼ Wave NMO black spring antenna VHF 132-174 MHz Tunable”

4. The NMO 700/800MHz antenna is specified as:

“Motorola style 700/800 short antenna”

5. Assembly of the radios should be included, but “only what is required to join both radios together and to the control head, i.e. L-5032 Factory Assembly & Factory Packing for Single Head/Dual Deck/Ext Speakers.” The IFB document will be changed to include assembly.

In addition to submitting a completed IFB, responding bidders must return a signed and dated copy of this addendum by either including the addendum with the IFB submittal or sent separately. Failure to submit a signed and dated addendum before the bid deadline may result in disqualification of your bid.

Note: It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure this completed addendum is received in full by the Purchasing Office.
