About this file

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued by Lone Star College (LSC) for the purpose of seeking proposals from qualified companies to provide Voice and Data Communication Cabling Services. The RFP covers an initial 3-year contract term with two 1-year extension options, for a total potential contract duration of 5 years. The scope of services includes providing all supervision, supplies, equipment, and labor to perform cabling services at various LSC campus locations in the greater Houston area. The RFP requires proposals to be submitted by October 16, 2024 at 3:00 PM CST. A non-mandatory pre-proposal conference will be held on September 25, 2024 and a non-mandatory in-person pre-bid meeting is scheduled for October 1, 2024.

The RFP outlines the evaluation criteria, which include factors such as pricing, vendor reputation and quality of services, extent to which the services meet LSC's needs, vendor past relationship with LSC, and historically underutilized business (HUB) participation. Vendors are required to submit pricing on a worksheet and indicate if they are a certified HUB or M/WBE. LSC reserves the right to refuse any price increases deemed unreasonable and will assess penalties for failure to meet HUB participation goals. The RFP also includes various state and federal compliance requirements for the awarded contractor.
