About this file

This document is an amendment to a Request for Offer (RFO) issued by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) for the procurement of Canon printers. The amendment provides responses to questions from potential bidders regarding the solicitation requirements, including clarification on acceptable product substitutions, delivery timelines, and bidding as a DIR vendor. The related state and local contract opportunity is for the Purchase of Printers, with TDCJ as the issuing agency and the state of Texas, along with several jurisdictions in Texas including Van Zandt County and the city of Houston, as the eligible locations. The RFO has an opening date of August 30, 2024, and bidders must acknowledge receipt of the amendment in their submissions.

The amendment indicates that purchases made for state use are exempt from Texas state sales tax. It also advises bidders to refer to the question deadline provided in the original solicitation for any further inquiries. The contract will be awarded on an as-needed basis for specified quantities, with no mention of pricing terms, set-asides, incumbents, or funding sources.
