Background
The Fritz G. Lanham Federal Office Building, located at 819 Taylor Street in Fort Worth, Texas, is named after Fritz Garland Lanham, a U.S. Representative from Texas. Constructed in 1966, the Lanham Federal Office Building currently houses agencies such as the Social Security Administration, Internal Revenue Service, National Weather Service, and National Labor Relations Board.
The building has five distinct low slope roof areas, designated in this report as Roof A, B, C, D, and E. The roof structures consist of concrete roof decks. The building has two different type roofing systems; aggregate surfaced built up roofing systems and granular surfaced modified bitumen built up roofing systems. A roof plan and photos of existing conditions are included in the report to assist you in understanding the items described within.
