About this file

This is a vendor unique attributes letter from EnvisionWare to the Free Library of Philadelphia regarding sole-source procurement for library self-service and operational efficiency solutions in Pennsylvania. The letter supports EnvisionWare's positioning as the sole qualified vendor for the Envisionware X25 Kiosks with SideCars contract opportunity, emphasizing the company's comprehensive suite of integrated products including time and print management, copy payment, self-checkout, RFID, payment processing, faxing, and scanning services. As an existing customer of EnvisionWare, the Free Library of Philadelphia currently utilizes these solutions for patron self-service capabilities and operational task distribution.

EnvisionWare asserts its exclusive qualifications based on several competitive advantages: all sales, installation, project management, and support services are provided directly by EnvisionWare employees; the company maintains sole access to source code for existing technology investments and possesses exclusive authorization to provide ongoing support; EnvisionWare exclusively controls access to software downloads, documentation, and customer center resources; and the company's diagnostic System Monitor suite uploads support information to systems accessible only by EnvisionWare personnel. The vendor commits to delivering high-value investments through annual product releases and continued research and development to support operating system updates and interoperability requirements. The contract award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder on a whole or line-item basis at the city's discretion, with all items required for bid eligibility and no delivery authorized until departmental notification.

Dear Carolyn:

EnvisionWare is unique in the library community as the only vendor that provides the level of comprehensive services aimed at public library self-service and operational efficiency. EnvisionWare provides a suite of products for time and print management, copy payment, self-checkout, RFID, payment, faxing and scanning, and other services. While there are some vendors that may offer pieces of systems, only EnvisionWare offers an integrated enterprise. EnvisionWare is also unique in that all sales, installation, project management and support are provided by EnvisionWare employees.

As an existing EnvisionWare customer, you already know the value of these solutions with regard to enabling patron self-service and distributing routine tasks to be shared by the public.

EnvisionWare’s unique solutions leverage the same Customer Center and support system you’ve been using for years where you can search the Reference Desk for help, download documentation or fetch product updates.

EnvisionWare is the sole company with access to source code for your existing EnvisionWare technology investment and thus the only Company that can make updates for features and defects to any software.

EnvisionWare is also the only company that is authorized to provide ongoing support. EnvisionWare exclusively controls access to new software downloads, documentation and EnvisionWare customer center access. The System Monitor diagnostic suite installed with most EnvisionWare applications uploads information about support issues including diagnostic logs into EnvisionWare’s management system, which is accessible only by EnvisionWare employees.

EnvisionWare is committed to delivering high value for customer investments, which means that the research and development team works on new feature releases for typically annual product releases of new features and continued development in support of operating system updates and other interoperability concerns.

We appreciate your continued use of EnvisionWare solutions, and we look forward to extending our relationship for many years. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Sincerely, Jake Young Sales Consultant – Circulation Solutions
