About this file

This scope of work document outlines the requirements for a water main repair project at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Maine. The base seeks to replace an existing 8-inch water distribution main in Wyman Avenue with new 16-inch piping, and to line an 8-inch main in Crane Street using cured-in-place pipe. Additional options include replacing a post indicator valve, filling the existing 8-inch main from B43 to Constitution Square with flowable fill, and lining the main in Dennett Street. The base specifies a 240-day period of performance for the base bid work and additional time periods ranging from 10 to 90 days should the optional items be exercised. Interested contractors must hold a pre-construction meeting no later than 30 days after receiving notice to proceed and submit various plans and qualifications in advance of the kickoff. Safety, quality control, and environmental protection requirements are also outlined.

Wyman Avenue areas with new 16" piping; and Cured In Place Pipe (CIPP) lining to repair the 8" water main in Crane Street. This includes all fire and domestic water service piping and connections, and associated valves, restraints, couplers, thrust blocks, etc. to complete the project. Additionally, provide and install flow fill in the decommissioned 8” line.

Base Bid
