About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) for the repair and replacement of vehicle barrier controls at the South and East Gate guard buildings. The RFI provides details about the current Delta Scientific equipment that requires replacement, including the model number, though the government is not seeking to replace the control panels with the same model. Electrical schematics are not available, but the system is described as running on 12-volt batteries as a failsafe.

The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation for the repair and upgrade of the vehicle barrier control system. The work includes installing new digital control panels, with a site visit scheduled for July 9, 2024. All RFIs must be submitted by July 11, 2024, and the contract value is estimated to be between $250,000 and $500,000. Contractors must complete CUI training and submit an acknowledgment form to gain access to the associated documentation.

Requests for Information: FA302224R0008, Repair Vehicle Barrier Controls.

Q1. Document SOW_Vehicle Barrier _18Apr24, page 6, section 2.3.1, May we have the Delta Scientific equipment model and serial number that require replacement of two control panels located at South and East Gate guard buildings?

A1: We do not have the current equipment details and are not going back with the same control panel. Please refer to SOW for new control panel require

Clarification for A1: Please see attached picture of the current HPU Nameplate. While the S/N are different, the Model number is the same. Please be aware, we are NOT going back with the same panel. We are wanting to upgrade the panel system with the digital panel specified in the

SOW.

Q2. Document SOW_Vehicle Barrier _18Apr24, page 6, section 2.3.1, If available, can the government forward the South and East Gate electrical schematics?

A2: Electrical schematics are not available.

Clarification for A2: The system is set up to run off (4) 12volt batteries. This is a failsafe so that the barriers can still be activated even if the power fails. It has a 110-volt supply coming into the HPU to a receptacle. A battery charger is plugged in to the receptacle to charge the (4) 12-volt batteries.
