About this file
The document is an E-Verify Declaration form from Pierce County Human Services, designed for contractors bidding on county contracts valued over $25,000 or public works contracts over $100,000 with a duration exceeding 120 days. The form requires businesses to enroll in the E-Verify system, which is a web-based application for verifying employment eligibility, and continue using it throughout the contract period. Contractors must provide documentation of their enrollment upon award notification, and both prime contractors and subcontractors are subject to this requirement.
The declaration stipulates that failure to provide the required Memorandum of Understanding from the Department of Homeland Security within 10 days of a request could result in suspension or termination of the contract. By signing the document, the business representative affirms their enrollment in the E-Verify system as of March 1, 2010, in compliance with Pierce County Code 2.106.022, and certifies they are authorized to sign on behalf of the business. This document is specifically related to a marine waste oil and bilge water pumping and disposal services contract for two ferry vessels operated by Pierce County.
