About this file
This is Addendum No. 1, issued September 8, 2026, by the State of Maryland Department of General Services, Design, Construction & Energy Division, for Project No. E-500-260-003 to replace nine AHU humidifiers at the Main Hospital in Cambridge, Maryland. The addendum clarifies and modifies the original Invitation to Bid documents and includes a pre-bid meeting sign-in sheet, meeting minutes, and mechanical drawings. A pre-bid meeting was conducted during which all nine units were viewed on-site and participants reviewed the project scope of work and MBE requirements. Key clarifications from the meeting minutes address contractor responsibilities regarding existing piping and wiring reuse (permitted if in acceptable condition), ductwork insulation specifications (to match existing or submit similar type for approval), and control system modifications (the Building Automation System will retain on/off functionality while adding a return duct sensor to monitor humidity levels). Bidders must verify all provided measurements and dimensions to ensure accuracy, as this responsibility rests solely with the contractor.
This solicitation is restricted to Small Business Enterprises approved for the Master Contractors Eastern Region contract. Questions regarding the project must be submitted in writing to Lakecia Dingle, Samantha Delp, or Elsie Bateman at the Maryland Department of General Services. All terms, conditions, and specifications not addressed in this addendum remain unchanged from the original ITB documents. By submitting a bid, prospective bidders acknowledge receipt of this addendum and all modifications contained therein.
