Description and Cause of Damage:

Heavy storms caused by hurricane Sandy affected an area of 360 SQYD of the Parking lot C. Storm caused a lot of erosion and pavement to break. It is difficult to tell if the area is undermined since there was still a lot of sand on the ground at the time of inspection.

Scope/Description of Repair:

Proposed repair will include a full depth patching on areas indicated by the CO within parking lot C, putting back existing pavement markings over new pavement, reset wheelstops and reconstruction of the islands as determined by the CO and sign installation. Limits of patching and island reconstruction will be determined based on conditions encountered at the time of construction. It is estimated that 20% of the parking lot area will need patching.
