About this file

This is a Drug-Free Workplace Certification form required by the State of Florida for the Escambia County Animal Welfare Facility Architectural and Engineering Services solicitation. The form mandates that the selected A/E firm certifies compliance with Florida Statute 287.087 by publishing a workplace drug prohibition statement to all employees, informing staff about drug abuse dangers and available counseling resources, distributing the policy statement to employees assigned to the project, requiring employees to report drug-related convictions within five days, and implementing sanctions or rehabilitation program participation for violating employees. The firm must demonstrate good faith efforts to maintain a drug-free workplace through implementation of these requirements and must indicate whether it fully complies with all provisions or does not fully comply with the stated requirements.

The certification must be signed by an authorized representative of the firm and submitted as part of the proposal response. No specific pricing, set-asides, incumbent information, or funding details are addressed in this compliance form, as it serves solely as a mandatory certification document establishing the contractor's commitment to maintaining drug-free workplace standards as a condition of contract award for the 36-month A/E services engagement with renewal options for additional 12-month periods.
