About this file

This document is an Addendum #1 for a Doors and Windows solicitation (DQ-2025-057-LB) issued by Colorado State University Procurement Services. The addendum provides clarification responses to vendor questions regarding specifications for doors and windows, with instructions to use an updated price sheet for bid evaluation. Potential vendors are advised that all project updates will be posted on the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System (RMEPS), and it is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the site for modifications.

The clarification questions cover detailed technical specifications including hollow metal frame construction (knockdown and welded options), wood door characteristics (rotary cut birch veneer), door face configurations (flush face and glass lite kits), hardware specifications (Sargent lever sets, Von Duprin exit devices, LCN closers, Hager hinges), and finishing details. For evaluation purposes, vendors are instructed to quote prices for knockdown frames, flush face doors, Sargent 11G04 lever preparation, and without assuming crash bar requirements. The document emphasizes flexibility in door and hardware selections based on specific project design needs while providing standardized guidance for bidding.

Addendum #1 - Clarification Questions/Update Price Sheet

• The sole point of contact for this documented quote is Lynette Brink, Procurement Services, at lynette.brink@colostate.edu.

• All addendums or modifications associated with this solicitation will be posted on Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System (RMEPS). Individual emails will not be sent to interested parties notifying them of any addendums or modifications. It is the responsibility of the Offeror to check RMEPS.

• Price sheet has been updated to reflect the below. Use the Price Sheet labeled “DQ-2025-057-LB Price Sheet Updated USE THIS ONE”.

1. Question: Are the Hollow metal frames expected to be knockdowns, Seam welded or Fully Welded?

Answer: All of the above, we use welded and knockdown jams depending on the design of the project and best practices. For purposes of evaluation, quote price for knockdowns on price sheet.

2. Question: What cut are the wood doors (example Plain sliced, rotary cut, quarter cut etc.)?

Answer: Rotary cut with veneer. Veneer’s vary per project, but Birch is what we use the most.

3. Question: What finish/stain is requested for the wood doors?

Answer: We get our doors raw. Veneer will be ordered to match existing in the building. We stain and clear our own doors to match what is existing in the building.

4. Question: Are the interior wood doors requested to be priced as a flush face or have glass lite kits?

Answer: Both. Most doors are flush face, some will require window kits, some doors on campus are rail and style type doors as well. For purposes of evaluation, quote prices for flush face.

5. Question: Are the exterior hollow metal doors requested to be priced as a flush face or have glass lite kits?

Answer: Both. Some exterior doors don’t need a window kit but do if in the path of egress. For purposes of evaluation, quote prices for flush face.

6. Question: What function of 11 line lock? What prep for the lever? LFIC?, CONV? SFIC?

Answer: Hardware = Sargent 11G04, 11G05, 11U15, 11G37 are the types we use the most. Door should be prepped to manufacturer specs of Sargent lever sets. Finish = Satin Chrome. For purposes of evaluation, quote price to prep using Sargent 11G04.

7. Question: What function is needed? lever prep? As above.

Answer: Door Prep = lever sets like above would need to be lever prepped. If the project requires a crash bar the door will be prepped for that function per manufacturer specs. For purposes of evaluation, do not assume a crash bar is needed and quote without.

8. Question: Do we just need a 99EO 3’ 626? Or need a 99 NL? 99EO and a night latch trim separate?

Answer: Exit Devices = Von Duprin 98/99 EO (Interior), Von Duprin 990 NL/DT (Exterior)

9. Question: What arm and series? 4040XP? RWPA? LCN Answer: Closer = LCN 4041 Reg / PA

10. Question: Hager BB1279 is a good part number. US26D Finish?

Answer: Hinges = Hagar #BB1279 or Stanley #FBB179. Finish = Satin Chrome
