About this file

The Dover AFB OPSEC Awareness Guide for Contractors is a security document detailing operational security (OPSEC) protocols for contractors working at Dover Air Force Base. The guide provides specific countermeasures for protecting sensitive information across six key areas: security measures, personal identifiable information, mission capabilities, force readiness, force structure, and physical infrastructure.

Critical guidelines include reporting suspicious behavior, utilizing strict information protection practices such as 100% shredding policies, encrypting emails, password protecting documents, and limiting access to sensitive information only to authorized personnel with a demonstrated need to know. Contractors are explicitly instructed to avoid discussing or posting contract-related information in public spaces or on social media, and to carefully control the transmission of details about personnel, equipment, infrastructure, exercises, and operational plans.
