About this file

This Data Item Description provides the format and content requirements for reporting Government Furnished Material by National Stock Number. Contractors must report all GFM inventory items ordered first by contract and line item number, then by GFM line item. For each GFM item, the report must include the contract and line item number, National Stock Number and part number, inventory requirements, quantities on hand and unit price, existing government inventory the contractor manages against requirements and excess inventory held, and rationale for any excess inventory with proposed reuse or disposal actions.

The related federal contract opportunity is a pre-solicitation for a repair delivery contract from the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center. The contractor will provide labor, materials, parts, facilities and equipment to disassemble, analyze, troubleshoot, repair, test, align, adjust, calibrate and move assets and parts maintained or repaired under the contract. Repaired items must pass original equipment manufacturer specifications validated by final acceptance testing, with any non-conforming parts replaced by the contractor. The schedule document provides further details on the national stock numbers and items involved in the acquisition.
