About this file

This document is an amendment to Solicitation DCKA-2021-B-0053, issued by the District of Columbia Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP) on behalf of the District Department of Transportation (DDOT). The amendment clarifies the bonding requirements for the "THERMOPLASTIC PAVEMENT CITYWIDE PROJECT", an indefinite-delivery-indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract for installing, refurbishing, upgrading, maintaining, and replacing pavement line markings throughout the District. The contract has a base term of one (1) year with four (4) one-year options. The amendment states that payment and performance bonds will be required on a per-task order basis, rather than a "blanket" bond for the life of the contract.

The original solicitation sought offers from firms to perform the citywide pavement marking work, with precise quantities and locations unknown at the time of bidding. The contract will be awarded to multiple vendors, and individual bid items must be balanced since exact quantities are undetermined. Funding requirements and sources are not detailed in the amendment or original solicitation.
