About this file

This is an amendment to a Request for Bid (RFB #D19-033-O) issued by the Wisconsin Department of Administration on behalf of UW-Milwaukee for the furnish and installation of rooftop fall prevention equipment. The amendment, released on June 19, 2019, modifies two specific drawings and their associated specifications. Drawing "ART" requires modification of an existing two-rail counter-weighted guardrail system by shortening the horizontal rails to accommodate a new walkway and guardrail system, with relocation of existing counter weights and necessary attachments to maintain system integrity. Drawing "AUP" requires the furnishing and installation of a 15' X 20' X 15' counter-weighted guardrail around an existing fan on the south end of the building. The deadline for submitting questions is June 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. CDT, with bids due on July 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. CDT. Bidders may submit responses either by physical receipt at the Purchasing Office or by email. The primary contact for this solicitation is Donna Lumsden at uwmbids@uwm.edu.

Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt and consideration of the amendment modifications by returning a signed and dated copy by the due date and time. The amendment specifies several certifications and preferences available to qualified bidders, including a potential 5% preference for Wisconsin Department of Administration-certified Minority Business Enterprises under Wisconsin Statutes section 16.75(3m), work center certification preferences for entities employing persons with severe disabilities, and domestic manufacturing preferences when other factors are substantially equal. Bidders must certify compliance with all terms and conditions, confirm legal authority to bind their organization, attest to independent bid development without collusion, verify non-debarment status, and confirm that false or missing information may result in bid disqualification. All other terms and conditions from the original RFB #D19-033-O remain unchanged.
