About this file

This is a Request for Bid (RFB) amendment issued by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) under Wisconsin Statutes section 16.75 for elevator repairs at campus dormitories. The bid seeks pricing for hoist rope replacements and motor replacement across multiple elevators: Sandburg West Elevator #5, Kenilworth Elevator #1 (with separate line items for hoist ropes and motor), Kenilworth Elevator #2, and Kenilworth Elevator #5. Amendment #1 requires bidders to provide a revised Exhibit A with breakout pricing for Kenilworth Elevator #1 showing separate costs for hoist ropes and new motor installation. The question deadline was November 28, 2017 at 2 p.m. CST, with bids due December 7, 2017 at 2 p.m. CST. Bidders must confirm their ability to complete repairs between January 2-18, 2018, if award is made timely. Submissions may be made by physical receipt or email to the Purchasing Office contact, Donna Lumsden (uwmbids@uwm.edu).

Bidders must provide total net installed pricing for each repair item and indicate willingness to offer discounts if all Kenilworth Elevator #1 repairs are awarded together. The bid requires specification of recommended useful life for parts being installed. UWM reserves the right to purchase additional items beyond those specified if unforeseen work is needed, and bidders must indicate willingness to agree to this and provide discount pricing structures and hourly labor rates for such contingent work. Bidders claiming minority business enterprise or work center certification status may qualify for preferential consideration under Wisconsin statutes. All bidders must certify compliance with competition, debarment, and domestic manufacturing requirements and confirm willingness to comply with all bid terms and conditions.
