About this file

This is a Request for Bid (RFB) Amendment #1 issued by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee under Wisconsin Statutes s.16.75 for elevator repairs at UW-Milwaukee dormitories. The bid seeks pricing for hoist rope replacements and motor replacement across multiple elevators: Sandburg West Elevator #5, Kenilworth Elevators #1, #2, and #5. Amendment #1 requires bidders to submit a revised Exhibit A with separate line-item pricing for hoist ropes and a new motor for Kenilworth Elevator #1. The original bid was released on November 21, 2017, with a deadline for questions on November 28, 2017, at 2 p.m. CST and a bid due date of December 7, 2017, at 2 p.m. CST. Bids may be submitted either physically to the Purchasing Office or via email. Bidders must confirm their ability to complete repairs between January 2-18, 2018, if the award is made timely. Contact for the bid is Donna Lumsden at uwmbids@uwm.edu.

Bidders must provide total net installed pricing for each repair line item and may offer discounts if all Kenilworth Elevator #1 repairs are awarded together. The bid requires bidders to confirm willingness to perform additional unforeseen work beyond the specified items and to provide discount pricing structures and hourly labor rates for such additional work. Bidders must also indicate the recommended useful life of parts being used. The bid includes standard certifications and compliance requirements, including declarations regarding collusion, federal debarment status, and compliance with Wisconsin preferences for minority-owned businesses, work centers employing persons with severe disabilities, and domestically manufactured materials. All terms and conditions remain unchanged from the original RFB except as amended by Amendment #1.
