About this file
This medical center policy outlines procedures for providing healthcare services to women veterans. It establishes a Women Veterans Program Manager to oversee all women's programs and ensure privacy and comprehensive care. Services include physical exams, breast and pelvic screenings, and specialty referrals through a dedicated Women's Health Clinic staffed by an interdisciplinary team. It also mandates sexual trauma screening and counseling, and annual mammography referrals per American Cancer Society guidelines. The policy covers education requirements for staff, and quality assurance processes to monitor patient satisfaction and screening timeliness. It is scheduled for recertification in February 2026 under the direction of the Lebanon VA Medical Center.
