I. Offerors have submitted 1 follow-up question to the Government in response to Solicitation Amendment 36C24423R0132 0005. The Government has included the questions below, verbatim, and provided a response. Offeror questions (Q#:) appear in regular font; Government responses to follow-up questions (A#:) follow in bold font.

QUESTION 1: In reference to Answer #4 below, how will the Medications ordered by a non-contracted provider be filled by the VA or Heritage Prescriptive services?

a. What is the suggested chain of distribution?

a. If a VA specialty provider orders a medication/injection in CPRS, will these medications be sent by courier to the clinic with patient identifying information, sent to the patient's home, or another way?

b. If Heritage Prescriptive Services provides the medication, will a prescription be given to the patient to fill at the NON-VA pharmacy, and bring the medication into the clinic untampered to be administered in the clinic?

GOVERNMENT ANSWER TO PART a: Depending on the refrigeration and handling requirements for the medication, these medications could be delivered by courier from the VA Pharmacy or sent to a patient’s home.

GOVERNMENT ANSWER TO PART b: Yes, a prescription can be written by the non-contracted provider to be handed to the Veteran to be picked up at a local pharmacy. The patient should be instructed by the non-contracted provider on how to retrieve the medication and bring back to the clinic for administration.

The Government has provided responses to all follow-up questions submitted in response to Solicitation Amendment 36C24423R0132 0005.
