About this file

This is Addendum No. 1 to Invitation to Bid (ITB) 2026-18 issued by the School Board of Citrus County, Florida for the Greenhouse Refurbishment Project at Three High Schools. The addendum modifies the original solicitation requirements for the refurbishment of three existing greenhouses located at district high schools. The scope of work includes re-covering greenhouse structures with replacement of gutters and downspouts, replacing or refurbishing wet pad systems and vents, replacing exhaust and HAF fans and gas-fired heaters, and replacing or refurbishing control and irrigation systems. The addendum serves to clarify, modify, or supplement the original ITB terms, conditions, and specifications that govern respondent qualifications, labor requirements, materials, and equipment standards for project completion.

The addendum document functions as an official amendment to the solicitation that all prospective bidders must acknowledge and incorporate into their proposals. Specific modifications outlined in the addendum address clarifications to project requirements, bid conditions, or technical specifications established in the original ITB. Bidders are required to sign and return the addendum as evidence of receipt and agreement to the amended terms prior to bid submission. The addendum becomes an integral component of the final contract awarded to the successful respondent and establishes binding obligations for all parties regarding the greenhouse refurbishment work across the three high school locations.

ADDENDUM NO. 1

December 16, 2025

2026-18-ITB Greenhouse Refurbishment Project at Three High Schools

The original solicitation documents shall remain in full force and effect, except as modified herein, which shall take precedence over any contrary provisions in the prior documents. The original solicitation deadline shall remain the same date and time of Tuesday, January 13, 2026 @ 2:00PM. Respondent MUST acknowledge receipt of this Addendum on the Acknowledgement Form where requested.

This addendum is being issued to answer questions received, address request(s) for material substitutions, and to make revisions to the original solicitation.

Questions/Answers:

Q1: My previous company, Surenuff Agricultural and Repair, was active from 2008-2023. Surenuff Ag was a greenhouse sales and installation company. I took an offer from a competitor to be a project manager for his greenhouse installation company in March of 2023. As of August 2025, we are back in business, but I chose to go with a new company because of the cost to restart Surenuff was prohibitive. Will my new company be disqualified due to the experience requirement? My references will back up my business experience to 2007.

A1: The district will consider bids from vendors who can provide sufficient documentation (business registration(s), references, etc.) showing they have at least 5 years of experience providing the services requested either under the same legal entity name or a combination of experience within the last 10 years.

Q2: Are there construction drawings available for these projects or are we only bidding off of the scope of work/specs in the ITB documents?

A2: These are existing structures to be refurbished so there are no new construction drawings.

Q3: Where do we upload submittals for equipment equivalents?

A3: Respondents are instructed to post their list of all equivalent products proposed here on VendorLink as well as email all equivalent specifications for review to grumant@citrusschools.org and stokese@citrusschools.org by the due date and time for questions.

Q4: Substitute materials for consideration: Lubing wet wall system Dynaglass polycarbonate-the (3) brands are all very similar Amerilux polycarbonate Macrolux polycarbonate Reznor heater Sterling heater Hunter - I2CF-800-PL - ICC2
