About this file

This is a bid response form submission for The School Board of Sarasota County, Florida's Invitation to Bid (ITB) for Custodial Floor Cleaning Equipment, designated as Bid #26-0086. The School Board intends to establish a firm discount off current manufacturer published list prices for the purchase of custodial floor cleaning equipment and repair parts for use at schools and other facilities throughout the district on an as-needed basis for a one-year contract period. The bid response document includes multiple attachments and certification forms required for submission, including a Small/Minority Business Enterprise Certification Form, conditions for emergency and disaster situations, and a Principal Place of Business Statement form.

The document serves as a template for bidders to provide required certifications and declarations, including small business enterprise (SBE) or minority business enterprise (MBE) status as defined by Florida Statutes 288.703. Bidders must identify whether they qualify as a small or minority business enterprise, and if not, may indicate any intention to subcontract portions of work to SBE or MBE entities. Out-of-state bidders are required to submit a legal opinion from an attorney licensed in their state regarding any bidding preferences granted to in-state businesses. The form also requires bidders to designate a 24-hour emergency contact number and provide standard business information. Bidders unable to comply with small or minority business enterprise requirements must provide written notification indicating non-compliance.
