Dr. Wright is a certified project manager, project technical leader, quality assurance specialist, and environmental scientist with over 15 years of professional experience managing and contributing to multidisciplinary teams for a variety of projects. Dr. Wright managed a portfolio of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) research and development (R&D) projects, in addition to two ecological restoration projects with the National Park Service. She is currently the Task Order Quality Assurance Manager and the technical lead on a regulatory contract for the EPA Office of Pesticides. She is also the technical lead for a water resources project in Jacksonville, Florida, a National Park Service restoration project in Louisiana, and a portfolio of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) research and development (R&D) projects. An overview of her project experience is outlined below.

Project Experience Environmental Scientist, Project Technical Leader, and Task Order Quality Assurance Manager, Ecotoxicology and Environmental Fate Contract, U.S. EPA, 12 Years on Project with CDM Smith. This EPA contract provides registration support of pesticides. The deliverables of this project are Data Evaluation Records (DERs) and supporting statistical analyses conducted using the database/program CETIS. Dr. Wright assists in the day-to-day management, training of staff, and quality control at each step of the review process. Dr. Wright helps to manage the task schedule, project resources, work authorization, task execution, quality of deliverables, and deadlines. Dr. Wright also helps to manage the workload of staff members, in addition to ensuring that lessons learned are passed on to staff. Dr. Wright ensures that the project adheres to the quality management plan and internal quality standards.

Project Technical Leader, JEA Buckman Ozone-Wetland Project, 2023-present. The project team is conducting an ozone-wetland treatment pilot project at the Buckman Water Reclamation Facility (WRF). The pilot will assess the effectiveness of constructed wetlands, with and without ozonation pre-treatment, in reducing organics, nutrients, and emerging unregulated compounds from the treated effluent. Additionally, a PFAS sorbent will be added to assess the potential for PFAS removal during the treatment train process.

Project Manager and Technical Leader, National Park Service, Monitoring and Adaptive Management, Shoreline Protection and Canal Backfilling at Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve, 2023-present. The project team monitors baseline environmental conditions and post-construction conditions to assess the effect of the construction of a breakwater on the percent cover of submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV), wave and current dynamics, and shoreline accretion. Dr. Wright was the PM on both projects for 2 years. Currently, she is the PTL one on project (Canal Backfilling) and a co-technical lead on the other (Shoreline Protection).

Project Technical Leader, PFAS R&D Portfolio, 2023-present. These projects are funded by the Department of Defense (DoD). The projects consist of bench scale work or a combination of bench scale work and field demonstrations where PFAS removal mechanisms are explored.

Project Manager, Fort Pulaski Tidal Wetland Mitigation Site Monitoring, 2021-2022.

Project consisted of mitigation monitoring for a tidal marsh wetland restoration project at

Project team provided mitigation plan development support in the form of compilation and quality review of materials provided by other agencies, and project logistical support. The goal of the project was to analyze the use of river reintroduction into the Maurepas Swamp as compensatory mitigation for the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain Project.

Project Manager, Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP), In Situ Verification and Quantification of Naturally Occurring Dechlorination Rates in Clays, 2023-2024. The project entails using parallel field screening techniques of the dechlorination of trichloroethene (TCE) in clays, which will be applied to impacted sites where TCE is leaching to groundwater. The field screening techniques will be validated by bench-scale tests.

Project Manager, ESTCP In Situ Treatment of PFAS-Impacted Groundwater Using Foam Fractionation in an Air Sparge Trench, 2023-2024. This project involves the installation and testing of a proposed method of PFAS treatment of groundwater in the field, and includes a field demonstration of the method.

Project Manager, Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) Mass Flux as a Tool to Assess the Need for PFAS Remediation, 2023-2024. This project consists of measurements of PFAS mass flux downward through soil within a source area and coupling with measured PFAS mass flux in the underlying groundwater to determine the extent of soil remediation that is needed. Soil and water matrices will be sampled and PFAS quantification will be performed.

Project Manager, Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program (SERDP) Utilizing PFAS Aggregation at the Gas-Water Interface for Energy Efficient PFAS Destruction, 2023-2024. The goal of this project is to develop a treatment system that utilizes PFAS properties to enhance PFAS reductive defluorination and reduce treatment energy consumption.
