About this file
The document is a Technology + Architecture Questionnaire from the City of Santa Monica's Information Services Department, designed to comprehensively evaluate potential technology solutions. The questionnaire covers eight critical areas of technical assessment: Architecture Review, Technology Review, User Experience, Integrations Review, Configuration + Customizations, User + Access Management Review, Maintenance + Support, and Reporting and Business Analytics. The document seeks detailed information from potential technology vendors about their proposed solutions, including technical architecture, system components, integration capabilities, customization approaches, user management strategies, support models, and reporting functionalities.
The questionnaire is structured to gather in-depth technical insights across multiple dimensions, including cloud infrastructure, programming languages, database configurations, user access management, API capabilities, system upgrade processes, and business continuity planning. Key areas of focus include understanding the solution's architectural design, integration with existing city ecosystem technologies, accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1), identity management (e.g., Microsoft Entra ID), technical support mechanisms, training paths, and potential for creating custom reports and dashboards. The document indicates a comprehensive evaluation approach aimed at ensuring the selected technology solution meets the City of Santa Monica's complex technological requirements and provides robust, scalable, and user-friendly capabilities.
