About this file

The document is a Department of Transportation Contractor's Release Form (DOT F 4220.4), which serves as a standard legal release document for contractors completing federal contracts. The form enables contractors to release the government from liabilities and claims after contract completion, with specific provisions for retaining rights to certain types of claims, including patent-related issues and unknown third-party liabilities. The form includes spaces for contract details, total amounts paid and payable, and requires witnesses or corporate officer certification.

The related federal contract opportunity is a competitive solicitation (Solicitation Number: 6973GH-25-Q-00084) issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for replacing roof hatches and doors at the Wilmington International Airport Air Traffic Control Tower in North Carolina. The procurement is a 100% small business set-aside for a firm fixed-price contract, with proposals due by April 29, 2025 at 4:00 PM Central Time. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for April 15, 2025, at 0900 local time, and all questions must be submitted via email to Stephen.N.Branch@faa.gov by April 17, 2025. The FAA intends to award to the lowest-priced, responsive, and responsible offeror, with contractors required to submit a completed Solicitation Information Request (SIR) document and Organizational Experience Questionnaire demonstrating relevant project experience.
