About this file
This is a Consent of Surety form related to a concrete crushing and processing contract for Walton County, Florida. The document serves as a surety company's commitment to provide Performance and Payment Bonds equal to 100 percent of the total contract price should the principal contractor be awarded the project. The surety agrees to execute and deliver the required bonds conditioned upon faithful performance of the contract and payment of all labor and materials suppliers. The consent is contingent upon Walton County entering into a formal written contract with the principal contractor and the principal executing the contract within the timeframe specified in the solicitation documents. The contractor must complete all crushing and processing work within a maximum of 120 calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed, unless the county extends the timeline due to weather, equipment failure, or site-access limitations.
The surety company must be currently listed on the U.S. Treasury Department Circular 570 and possess an A.M. Best Rating of A- Class VII or better to qualify. A Power of Attorney document authorizing the specific individual signing on behalf of the insurance company must be attached to the Consent of Surety. The form requires completion of specific project details including the project name, solicitation or reference number, contractor name, surety company name and state of organization, bond amounts, and execution date. This document is a standard bonding requirement demonstrating the contractor's financial capability and commitment to performance obligations for the Walton County project.
