About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) Preventative Maintenance for the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL/RQ). The SOW covers maintenance services for four UPS units located in different facilities, requiring a one-year service agreement with 24/7 support and a four-hour maximum response time for onsite service. The service will be performed by specifically trained technicians using OEM (Vertiv approved) parts, with an annual comprehensive inspection covering environmental, mechanical, electrical, and battery system components.
The maintenance will be performed on four Liebert UPS models with varying capacities (15 kVA to 100 kVA) across different facilities, including one unit with wet cell batteries. The annual inspection includes detailed checks such as environmental conditions, power circuits, control systems, voltage regulation, and operational testing. A critical requirement is that electrical loads must not lose power during testing, and the systems must be fully restored to normal operational condition immediately after inspection. All consumable maintenance items will be included in the service agreement, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the critical research equipment's power backup systems.

Parts considered consumable maintenance items will be included in the service agreement. The service agreement will make support available twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week with a four (4) hour maximum response time to calls for onsite service and last for a one (1) year period of performance.
The Preventative maintenance shall also include one (1) annual inspection of all components of the UPS including:
• Environmental inspection
• UPS Mechanical inspection
• UPS Power Circuits inspection
• UPS control inspection
• DC Source mechanical inspection
• DC Source Output inspection
• Voltage Regulation Component Inspection
• Measurement and operational testing of the UPS
• Inspection of each battery in the string(s) including wet cells
