This Task Assignment (TA) is intended for conducting additional SSA activities at the U.S. 192 Brevard Co. SWMF site, formerly referred to as Deseret Ranch. The scope of work builds upon the previous contamination assessment activities and was reviewed and approved by the Department’s District and Business Support Program (DBSP) for the eventual issuance of a Site Rehabilitation Completion Order (SRCO) as described in Rule 62-780.680, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C). The services are being conducted using grant funds from the State & Tribal Response Program (SRP) Grant that is administered by DEP on behalf of EPA.

Subtask 1 Project Management This subtask is a percentage of the overall project and has been negotiated as a contract rate. It includes project management, overhead, general and administrative, fringe and other direct costs.

The cost of this subtask is $1,882.43

Subtask 2: SSA Work Plan/QAPP, and Health and Safety Plan In accordance with an EPA directive, this subtask includes the completion of a Work Plan/Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP), a Health and Safety Plan (HASP) and to coordinate utility location at the proposed soil boring and monitoring well locations. The SSA QAPP Workplan will provide a brief summary of the scope of work and tables and figures showing the proposed sample locations. The agreed upon cost of this subtask is $2,737.46.

Subtask 3 SSA Activities Under this subtask, Wood will collect soil samples from 20 soil borings at select locations to provide delineation of previously detected arsenic and organochlorine pesticide (OCP) contamination. Soil samples will be collected at the boring locations from the 0 - 6 inch and 6 inches to 2-foot intervals. Soil samples from 11 of the soil boring locations will be analyzed for arsenic using USEPA method 6010. Soil samples from the other nine soil boring locations will be analyzed for OC pesticides using USEPA method 8081. Also, seven additional monitor wells (MW-26 to MW-32) will be installed on the northern, eastern and southern edges of the groundwater plume to further determine the horizontal and vertical extent of arsenic groundwater contamination. The seven new monitor wells and 14 existing monitor wells (MW-1, MW-2, MW-
