About this file

This is a user guide for entering Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 1 self-assessments into the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) within the Procure Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE). The guide provides step-by-step instructions for contractors and federal suppliers to complete and submit CMMC assessments.

To access the system, users must obtain a "SPRS Cyber Vendor User" role through PIEE at https://piee.eb.mil. The process involves selecting the SPRS application, accessing the Cyber Reports module, and choosing the appropriate organizational hierarchy identified by the Contracting Activity Government Entity (CAGE) code. Within the CMMC Assessments tab, users select "Add New Level 1 CMMC Self-Assessment" and enter assessment details including the assessment date, assessing scope, number of employees, and compliance confirmation with FAR clause 52.204–21 security requirements. The included CAGE codes are imported from the System for Award Management (SAM). Users must identify the Affirming Official (AO), who serves as the senior-level representative responsible for certifying the organization's compliance with CMMC Program requirements and security standards. If the assessment preparer is not the AO, the assessment can be transferred via email for affirmation. Once the AO reviews and certifies the assessment details and affirmation statement, they affirm the submission. Only "Final Level 1 Self-Assessment" status is visible to government personnel, and such assessments automatically expire and convert to "No CMMC Status (Expired Assessment)" after one year. Cyber Vendor Users can edit or delete certain CMMC status types prior to final affirmation.
