About this file
This document contains federal contracting clauses applicable to a construction contract awarded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The contract requires the successful contractor to commence work within 14 calendar days of receiving the notice to proceed and complete all work within 60 calendar days of that notice, with final cleanup included in the completion timeline. The contractor must prosecute the work diligently throughout the performance period. A preconstruction conference may be conducted at the Contracting Officer's discretion, and if held, the successful offeror and potentially subcontractors will be required to attend with specific details provided regarding date, time, and location. Offerors are strongly urged and expected to conduct site visits prior to submission. Site visits can be arranged during normal business hours by contacting DJ Scalf at (502) 658-4055 or David Seng at (502) 315-6722 at either the John T Myers Locks and Dam (16501 Raben Rd., Mt Vernon, IN 47620) or the Newburgh Locks and Dam (6877 State Rd. 66, Newburgh, IN 47630). The contract will include clauses addressing differing site conditions and site investigations that may affect the work.
