About this file

This is a Certification Regarding Lobbying form issued by the Nevada State Purchasing Division, Department of Administration, for use in connection with a Vehicle Remote Sensing procurement by the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles. The form serves as a mandatory certification requirement for vendors submitting proposals in response to the formal RFP. The certification requires the undersigned to attest that no federally appropriated funds have been or will be paid to influence federal officers, members of Congress, or their employees in connection with the award of any federal contract, grant, loan, or cooperative agreement. Vendors must complete this form and return it with their bid submission, with blanks provided for the date, solicitation number, vendor name, authorized signer name, and authorized signature.

The certification constitutes a material representation of fact and is a prerequisite imposed by section 1352 of U.S. Code for entering into any federally funded transaction. Should any non-federal funds be used for lobbying purposes, the vendor must complete and submit Standard Form-LLL, Disclosure of Lobbying Activities. The certification language must be included in all sub-award documents at all tiers, and all sub-recipients must certify and disclose accordingly. Failure to file the required certification subjects the vendor to civil penalties ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 for each failure. This form is applicable to the Vehicle Remote Sensing RFP and reflects Nevada's compliance with federal requirements for state and local procurement activities.
