About this file
This document contains cargo and equipment specifications for the AN/TPY-4 (V) 1 radar system, detailing component weights, dimensions, and transportation configurations. The specifications cover four major components: the Main Radar Unit-Transceiver Group (TG) weighing 24,000 lbs with 138.5 square inches of ground contact area and maximum average floor pressure of 173 psi; the TG Mobilizer weighing 5,600 lbs configured to mount to the TG structure or transport independently; the Processor Group (PG) and Power Equipment Group (PEG) weighing 21,000 lbs with six skids providing 5,586 square inches of ground contact area and 3.8 psi maximum average floor pressure; and the PG Mobilizer weighing 5,860 lbs also configured for mounted or independent transport. Each component is presented with detailed dimensional diagrams showing length, width, and height measurements in both inches and metric units, along with transport data plates and weight specifications.
The vendor must provide vehicles to accommodate all cargo components, with each assembly designed for transportability in palletized or containerized configurations. The TG and TG Mobilizer will be transported separately, as will the PG/PEG components and PG Mobilizer. Dimensional requirements range from approximately 90 inches to 315 inches in length and 48 inches to 104 inches in height, with comprehensive shipping cubicle and payload specifications documented on technical data plates. All components include specific lifting provisions, tiedown requirements, and restrictions such as prohibitions against lifting payloads with mobilizers attached or stacking incompatible components.

Cargo and Equipment Specifications
Cargo encompasses the AN/TPY-4 (V) 1 radar system, which is broken down into several components for transport. The vendor must provide vehicles to accommodate the cargo and below is the breakdown of AN/TPY-4 (V) 1 radar system components:
• Main Radar Unit -Transceiver Group (TG): Largest single component, consisting of the Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar.
• TG Weight: 24,000 lbs.
• Transport Configuration: The system is designed for transportability and is typically palletized or containerized.
• Diagram below provides dimensions.
• Picture of Transport Data Plate for reference below.
• Six contact points provide a total of 138.5 in2 of ground contact area and maximum average floor pressure is 173 psi are included in ground contact area illustration.
TG Mobilizer: TG mobilizers are configured to mount to the TG PES structure but can also be mated together to allow mobility and transport as a unit independent of the
TG.
• TG Mobilizer Weight: 5,600 lbs.
• Transport Configuration: Please see transportation illustration below as mobilizer will be transported separately (not attached to TG).
• Diagram below provides dimensions.
• Picture of Transport Data Plate for reference below.
• Processor Group (PG) and Power Equipment Group (PEG): These consist of processing racks, generators, and support equipment. Recommend these components loaded onto the specified van and dedicated truck etc.
• PG weight: 21,000 lbs (including support/emplacement equipment secured inside).
• Diagram below provides dimensions per illustration.
• Picture of Transport Data Plate for reference.
• Six skids (7 inch wide x 102 inch long) a total of 5586 in2 of ground contact area and maximum average floor pressure is 3.8 psi are included in ground contact area illustration.
PG Mobilizer: The PG mobilizers are configured to mount to the PG structure but can also be mated together to allow mobility and transport as a unit independent of the PG.
• PG Mobilizer Weight: 5,860 lbs.
• Transport Configuration: Please see transportation illustration below as mobilizer will be transported separately (not attached to PG).
• Diagram below provides dimensions.
