About this file
This is a City Council agenda item from the City of Orlando for a meeting on April 24, 2023, regarding the acceptance of a Community Development Block Grant CARES Act (CDBG-CV) Grant Agreement with the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity. The grant supports a multi-department initiative to respond to coronavirus pandemic impacts through four key areas: expanding internet access, facilitating academic support services, providing decontamination of emergency equipment and improved filtration in public facilities, and supporting small businesses. The federal grant award totals $1,586,717.00 and will be administered by the State of Florida through the CDBG-CV program. The agenda item includes attachments consisting of a fiscal impact statement and the actual grant agreement (Agreement H2469).
