Intrusion Alarm Systems | Conettix D6600 Communications Receiver/Gateway

Conettix D6600 Communications Receiver/Gateway www.boschsecurity.com u 32 lines for public switched telephone network (PSTN) communications with Two Way audio, Caller ID, ANI and DNIS support u Award winning VOIP compensation feature reduces signal errors caused by digitally distorted Contact ID signals u Up to 3,200 network accounts for IPv6 and IPv4 network communications u Supports NIST-FIPS197 certified 128 to 256 bit AES encryption u Designed with electrically isolated, hot-swappable line cards and front panel access to CPU card

The Conettix D6600 Communications Receiver/ Gateway with Conettix IP hardware components works in the following configurations:

• Telephone line communications over the public switched telephone network (PSTN).

• Internet or intranet communications over a LAN or WAN using standard user datagram protocol and internet protocol (UDP/IP).

• Simultaneous PSTN and LAN or WAN communications.

The Conettix network environment reduces signal-reporting time, improves security, and provides instant notification when a site experiences communication problems. A D6600 with Conettix IP hardware is compatible with most manufacturer’s fire and security system control panels.

System overview

PSTN communications configuration This configuration uses existing telephone lines. A control panel's signal transmits over a PSTN analog telephone line to the D6600. The D6600 translates the signal to a common data format and sends the signal through Ethernet LAN, WAN, or RS-232 to a central station automation system.

Internet or intranet communications configuration This configuration requires Conettix IP hardware components, uses existing Internet or intranet structures, and avoids additional telephone service costs.

This configuration permits the Conettix D6200 Programming/Administration Software to connect to the D6600 remotely. A control panel's signal transmits over the LAN or WAN to the D6600. The D6600 translates the signal to a common data format and sends the signal through Ethernet LAN, WAN, or RS-232 to a central station automation system. The central automation system sends information to operator workstations.

Conettix D6200 programming/administration software Conettix D6200 Programming/Administration Software is a PC-based application that allows users to view, change, upload, and download D6600 programming parameters through a network connection or RS-232 serial port. Through the Conettix D6200 Programming/ Administration Software users can edit CPU and line card parameters; view the status of all accounts in the databases; add, edit, and delete accounts; and configure network operations.

Notice Conettix D6200 Programming/Administration Software is compatible with the following operating systems: Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8.

Function Benefit

Dialed number identification service (DNIS) adjusts line card settings according to the telephone number dialed by the control panel.

Handles more field dialers with fewer line cards and allows you to create virtual lines.

Caller identification (Caller ID) alarm processing stores corresponding handshake formats. The processing automatically recalls the format when the same caller identification is processed.

Shortens the amount of time that calls are connected to the receiver.

Decreases money spent on fixed hardware or monthly phone bills.

Uses the Conettix D6641 Telephone Line Card.

Digital signal processing technology in the cards allows the D6600 to recognize more communication formats and accurately decode information.

2 | Conettix D6600 Communications Receiver/Gateway

Additional PSTN communications advantages

• Automatic number identification (ANI) system identifies incoming telephone numbers.

• Each line card has four telephone lines.

• Receives signals on up to 32 telephone lines simultaneously.

• Independent, configurable communication format settings for each telephone line.

• Visual front panel light emitting diode (LED) indicators for on-line and line-fault status conditions.

Two-way audio

• Able to transfer calls to another line or extension.

• Activated by account numbers and by events.

LAN or WAN gateway communications

• Requires Conettix IP hardware components.

• Two-way communications with a control panel.

• Supervised network automation computer links.

• Supports up to 3200 network accounts.

• Ethernet configuration available.

• Supports 128-bit AES Rijndael encryption.

Supervision and programming with network communications The protected premises sends supervision messages to the D6600 at a programmed rate. Users can program the supervision rate to be 5 seconds to 1275 seconds. The D6600 acknowledges the supervision message, providing end-to-end security. If authentication and encryption algorithms detect potentially damaging activity, they alert the central station operator.

The data network's communication link is continuously supervised. Even when monitoring thousands of control panels, the system consumes only a small amount of bandwidth.

Front panel access The D6600 enclosure design provides convenient access to the CPU card or the hot-swappable telephone line cards. A hot-swappable card can be removed and replaced without affecting system performance.

Flash technology Using the Conettix D6200 Programming/ Administration Software, flash technology in the D6600 allows for software upgrades without additional hardware or firmware changes.

Intrusion Alarm Systems | B465 Universal Dual Path Communicator

B465 Universal Dual Path Communicator www.boschsecurity.com u Compatible with any control panel using Contact ID, SIA, Pulse 3/1 or Pulse 4/2 communication formats (auto detecting) u No control panel reprogramming required to install u Supports Ethernet directly and optional plug-in cellular communication technologies in single, or multi-path configurations u Supports four configurable inputs and three configurable outputs u Approved for Commercial Fire/Burglary applications as sole, primary, or secondary communication path

The B465 Conettix Universal Dual Path Communicator converts the Public Switch Telephone Network (PSTN) digital dialer, or dry contact outputs from an intrusion/ fire control panel to an IP signal for transmission over the Ethernet or cellular network. The B465 Conettix Universal Dual Path Communicator is UL 864 10th

Edition approved per NFPA 72 version 2013.

The module can use its built-in Ethernet connection, and/or an optional Conettix plug-in cellular module (B440/B441/B442/B443) to send reports to the central station receiver.

Automation programming for the supported control panel remains unchanged with the installation of the B465 module, thus simplifying the installation process This allows for a smooth transition from the PSTN realm into IP. All messages generated internally by the B465 are shown in Contact ID format at the central station.

The module can be powered from a 16.5 VAC transformer or 24 VDC power supply.

System overview

The B465 simulates dial tone and line voltages when the digital dialer has a report to send. The module simulates a PSTN connection to the central station.

The module decodes the control panel’s PSTN dialer report and sends the decoded reports by IP connection using Bosch’s Conetix Protocol to the Conettix D6600, D6100IPv6, or D6100i Communication Gateway/Receiver (referred to as the receiver). When the receiver acknowledges receipt of the message, it sends an acknowledgement report to the module which in turn sends an acknowledgement to the connected control panel. This process maintains true end-to-end security.

Functions

PSTN inputs (2) When the control panel’s PSTN dialer sends a message, the module simulates a PSTN connection to the central station. The module connects to the host control panel through either one or both of the Phone Line inputs. Both Panel Line 1 and Panel Line 2 of the module run 28 VDC and support Contact ID (4 and 10 digit account codes), Pulse 3/1, Pulse 4/2, and SIA communication formats. The B465 is setup to auto detect the communication format which eliminates programming steps.

IP Communication options The module uses the on-board Ethernet connector, and/or optional B440 Conettix Plug-in Communicator, Cellular (3G), B441 Conettix Plug-in CDMA Cellular Communicator, B442 Conettix Plug-in GPRS Cellular Communicator, or B443 Conettix Plug-in HSPA+ Cellular Communicator to communicate with a Conettix D6600, Conettix D6100i or a Conettix D6100IPv6 Communications Receiver/Gateway. Using Conettix IP communication protocol offers a secure path that includes anti-replay/anti-substitution features and provides enhanced security with up to AES 256-bit encryption.

The module supports Domain Name System (DNS) for central station communication. DNS provides ease of use, eliminating the need to use static IP addresses as your reporting destination, and accommodates a simple solution for central station disaster recovery.

Direct wire inputs The B465 provides four on-board inputs. Each input functions independently and does not interfere with the operation of the others. The module monitors the input loops for normal, shorted, or open conditions between an input terminal and any of the input common terminals. Inputs are disabled by default so no EOL resistors are required until activated.

These four inputs on the B465 connect to dry contact outputs on the control panel and generate Contact ID reports instead of using a phone line connection/or in addition to using the control panel phone connection.

The available functions are:

• Panel System Trouble

• Panel AC Fail

• Panel Battery Trouble

• Fire Alarm

• Fire Trouble

• Burg Alarm

• Burg Trouble

• Fire Supervisory

Each input allows the use of dry contacts or powered outputs up to 30 VDC if needed. The inputs use 2.2K EOLs to monitor the dry contact outputs when connected to dry contacts. The inputs recognize the following thresholds when using dry contacts: 2.0 to

3.0 VDC = Normal, 3.7 to 5.0 VDC = Open, 0.0 to 1.3

VDC = Short.

Outputs Includes three programmable output relays rated at 30 VDC, 0.1 A. These outputs can be used to show the status of the B465 or they can be connected to the control panel zone inputs for reporting B465 system faults. The three outputs consist of RELAY 1, RELAY 2, and RELAY 3.

• RELAY 1 is active (energized) once the B465 is running. If the B465 detect a problem or loses power, RELAY 1 de-energizes, which can be used to indicate a system trouble on the local control panel's zone inputs, if required. Depending on the configuration required to create a system trouble on the control panel, the installer needs to use either the NO and COM or the NC and COM connections. Refer to the control panel manual for the required zone configuration to obtain the proper input response.

• RELAY 2 is a normally open (NO) relay with contacts that close when the desired function programmed is detected.

• RELAY 3 is a normally open (NO) relay with contacts that close when the desired function programmed is detected.

2 | B465 Universal Dual Path Communicator

Input power supply The B465 uses a 16.5 VAC transformer or 24 VDC voltage for its primary power source. The approved transformers are the D1640 plug-in transformer, D1640-CA plug-in transformer, or D1640-120WI transformer. The B465 can optionally be powered from 24 VDC power source applied to the AC terminals.

B465 modular connections The B465 module has three modular connections.

• Cellular plug-in connector. Connects to a cellular communication module.

• Tamper connector. Connects the ICP-EZTS Dual Tamper Switch for monitoring the enclosure cover.

• External Annunciator connector. Connects to the optional B46 module.

On-board LED Indicators The B465 has a total of ten on-board LEDs that indicate the module's status (SYSTEM TROUBLE, TX, RX, POWER, BATTERY, HEARTBEAT, Panel Line 1 (ACT),Panel Line 2 ( ACT), 100BASE-T and ETHERNET

LINK).

B46 External Annunciator (Optional) The B46 is an optional module that provides external module LED and sounder status when installed in a supported enclosure. The module has 3 LEDs (System Trouble, Power, and Battery) which illuminate through the B46 LED cover. The LED cover snaps into a knockout in the enclosure door.

The B46 is compatible with the B10, B10R, B11, B11R, and D8103 enclosures.

Both power supplies are filtered and regulated.

Model FP2016-U1 is rated at 6.5 Amps, while the rating of Model FP2012-U1 is 11.5A.

The 170-Watt power supply incorporates a 4.0A, non-resettable slow-blow fuse on the primary input, and includes a built-in AC-line filter for surge and noise suppression. Model FP2016-U1 mounts in the panel’s enclosure, and there are no serviceable Desigo Fire Safety parts to be maintained.

The 300-Watt power supply incorporates two (2) 6.3A replaceable, non-resettable slow-blow fuses on the primary input and includes a built-in AC line filter for surge and noise suppression. Model FP2012-U1 mounts in the panel’s enclosure, and there are no serviceable Desigo Fire Safety parts to be maintained.

System Enclosures The Desigo fire-alarm enclosures and their accessories provide a complete set of hardware for mounting all Desigo main-system and remote terminal cards, as well as Desigo modules that are housed in each enclosure.

The hardware allows this Desigo system to be configured for a variety of applications, as well as for future system upgrades. Included in the enclosure series are back box and door sets; removable mounting plates and clear lenses; and blank plates for use with the enclosure doors.

All enclosures come with ground straps for the inner and outer doors, shield termination lugs, grounding lugs, and tie wrap lances for securing wire. All Desigo two height-unit (2HU) enclosures can also mount system back-up batteries up to 33AH in capacity.

Models FC2025 and FC2050 utilize a two-height-unit enclosure. The following components comprise a complete two-height-unit enclosure:

ƒ One (1) back box, (Model FHB2002-U1 / R1) ƒ One (1) or two (2) inner doors, (Models FHD2004-U1 or FHD2005-U1) ƒ One (1) outer door, (Model FHD2002-U2 / R2, or FHD2003-U2 / R2) ƒ One (1) or two (2) clear windows, (Model FHD2006-U1)

Note: One (1) window is installed for Model FHD2002-U2 / R2 outer door, and two (2) windows are required for Model FHD2003-U2 / R2.

The approximate size for each two-height-unit enclosure is: 27.5" (70cm.) high; 21.5" (54.6cm.) wide, and 5.75" (14.6cm.) deep. The weight, without connected components, is approximately 6.3 Lbs. (2858 g).

Additionally, the two-height-unit enclosure supports the following components:

ƒ Enclosure trim kit (for flush-mounting) ƒ Battery bracket (to comply with seismic certification) ƒ DIN rail kit (provides connection between internal-system wiring and field wiring)

Optional Accessories Digital Alarm Communication Transmitter (DACT) The DACT is used to provide communication between Models FC2025 and FC2050 and with either a central or remote monitoring station.

The Model FCA2015-U1 module mounts directly on the back enclosure and connects to the periphery boards.

The DACT enables remote transmission of alarms and events via a public telephone line.

Releasing Module The releasing module (Model XCI2001-U1) supports activation of releasing valves in pre-action / deluge systems (including double-interlock pre-action systems, or Sinorix® Engineered Fire Suppression systems).

Distributed Power Supply − NAC Extender (Model PAD-4 series) 3363 s Data Sheet

Fire Safety Products

FACP Accessories PAD-4 Distributed Power Supply Unit [for UL markets] Notification Appliance Circuit Extender Models PAD-4-ENCL, PAD-4-MB (with FP2011-U1, FP2012-U1 power supplies)

Product Overview Used with Siemens − Fire Safety fire alarm control panels (FACPs), the Distributed Power Supply PAD-4 Unit is a NAC expander with a built-in, auxiliary-power output. Each PAD-4 unit distributes additional power in buildings for audible and visual indicators that conform to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). PAD-4 also has the following features:

NACs Signal-input circuits Battery-charging circuit Trouble relays for remote monitoring Diagnostic light-emitting diodes (LEDs) Alternating Current (AC) power connection

The Siemens NACs, which connect with alarm signaling devices, have been designed to provide the highest level of reliability and performance.

Signal coding on the circuits is accomplished through integrated circuits (rather than relays), which eliminates mechanical wear on the output circuits.

The PAD-4 unit provides constant 24VDC output voltage to each NAC − independent of voltage fluctuations on the primary or secondary power source. As a result, a larger voltage drop and a greater wire length for each NAC are supported by each PAD-4.

Specifications This version of the Siemens Distributed Power Supply Unit can be configured in the following manner that makes the outputs easily programmable:

‘STEADY’ outputs Synchronized strobe outputs

American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Temporal 3 ANSI Temporal 4 [for carbon monoxide (CO) alarm signal]

There are also two (2) inputs used to control the activation of the four (4) outputs. Programming can be set so one (1) input will silence the audible signal on Siemens Models ‘AS’-series, ‘NS’-series, or ‘ZH’-series horn and horn-strobes while the strobes remain active.
