About this file

This document is a Fire Prevention and Control Plan template for federal construction or service contracts. The plan implements contractor responsibilities for fire prevention and suppression as specified in the underlying contract and establishes procedures for fire response and suppression activities at the work site.

The plan requires contractors to implement fire precautions, immediately extinguish all unintended fires on the work site, and notify the Government of any fires sighted on or near the work site. All fires must be reported to Montrose Interagency Dispatch at 970-249-1010, followed by notification to the Contracting Officer Keith Brugger at 307-321-3901 (cell) and the COR Representative. The contractor must designate key personnel responsible for fire control actions, listing their names, positions, and phone numbers in call order. The plan also requires documentation of the number of contractor personnel available (Woods Crew and Mill Crew) and contractor equipment available for fire prevention and control. The plan is effective through a specified date and may be extended when signed by the contractor. The document includes signature lines for the person preparing the plan, their title, and date, along with provisions for up to three plan extensions with dates and signatures.
