About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for HVAC replacement services at the Marlinton Ranger District Office, issued by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA).

The project scope includes removal and disposal of an existing XR-14 5-ton heat pump and TAM 4 split unit system, along with all associated ductwork, registers, and returns. The contractor must install a new 15 KW air handler with heat strips, a 3-ton heat pump, new thermostat, wiring, ductwork, electrical disconnects, and a pad for the outdoor unit. The work encompasses proper ductwork design and installation, preparation of the attic location with bracing for the new air handler, and wall/ceiling patching as needed. The existing system suffers from inefficient ductwork with long flex duct runs and 90-degree angles that restrict airflow. The contractor must be licensed in West Virginia or their state of residence, maintain liability insurance, and comply with all applicable electrical and building codes. The government will provide facility access during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) and restroom facilities; one week advance notice is required before onsite work begins, and work is prohibited on weekends and federal holidays without written Contracting Officer permission. All four deliverables—existing system removal with attic bracing preparation, new equipment installation, new ductwork design and installation, and wall/ceiling repairs—are due at the end of the period of performance.
