About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) to replace the HVAC system at the Marlinton Ranger District Office in West Virginia.
The project scope includes installing one new 15 KW air handler with heat strips and a 4-ton heat pump with a new thermostat, wiring, ductwork design and installation, electrical disconnects, and a new pad for the heat pump. The contractor must remove and dispose of the existing system, including the XR-14 5-ton heat pump, TAM 4 split unit, ductwork, registers, and returns. Additional work includes proper bracing and preparation of the air handler installation location in the attic, with wall and ceiling patching as needed to maintain proper ventilation. The contractor must be licensed in West Virginia or the state in which they reside and maintain liability insurance, with all work complying with applicable electrical and building codes. The project deliverables include submission of a bracing plan, installation of the new equipment with thermostat, ductwork plan, and wall/ceiling repairs, all due by the end of the period of performance. The government will provide facility access during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) and restroom facilities; one week advance notice is required for onsite work, and no weekend or federal holiday work is permitted without written Contracting Officer approval. All government-provided property must be returned prior to final invoice payment.

All registers and returns will be removed and reconfigured with wall/ceiling patching as needed to maintain proper ventilation in each room.
