About this file
This is a Project Manual prepared by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for the Matapeake Marine Shop Building #306 Overhead Door Replacement project located at 306 Marine Academy Drive, Stevensville, Maryland in Queen Anne's County. The project requires the contractor to remove five existing electrically operated garage doors and two existing electronically operated garage doors along with their associated transoms, and replace all seven openings with new electrically operated doors sized to fit the existing openings. The scope of work encompasses all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, and insurance necessary to complete the removal and installation work. The project manual serves as the primary document outlining technical specifications, construction requirements, and performance standards that contractors must follow during bidding and execution of the work.
The project manual establishes the technical and contractual framework governing the overhead door replacement work, including detailed specifications for door materials, installation procedures, testing requirements, and quality assurance measures. Contractors submitting bids must provide comprehensive proposals addressing all aspects of the work as defined in the manual. The document defines the responsibilities of the contractor regarding site conditions, safety compliance, and coordination with the Maryland DNR. Specific pricing terms, bid deadlines, award criteria, and contract duration would be detailed within the associated bidding documents and contract terms, which should be referenced in conjunction with this project manual to obtain complete information regarding response deadlines, contract award procedures, and project timelines.
