MEMO (As per Amendment # 1)
To: All Contractors and Site Supervisors
From: DNR Engineering & Construction Project Manager
Date: December 29, 2025
Subject: Temporary Structure Substitution Instruction
This memo serves as formal instruction regarding the temporary structure requirement specified in the project documents. Contractors may substitute the wood-based temporary structure with any alternative structure, device, or protective measure, provided that the following criteria are met:
The chosen solution must effectively protect the interior of the building from weather damage, including water intrusion and exposure to the elements.
The solution must provide adequate security to the site and building, ensuring that unauthorized access is prevented, and the integrity of the structure is maintained.
All alternatives must be installed and maintained in a professional manner, suitable for site conditions, and must not interfere with ongoing construction operations or compromise site safety. If you intend to use a non-standard solution, please submit details to the project management team for review prior to implementation. This structure would only be placed in front of one door at a time typically.
This instruction is effective immediately.
Sincerely, Shakira Johnson Procurement Officer
