About this file

This is an Addendum #2 to a Request for Bid for the AH-T1-3 Replacement Project issued by the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office on October 29, 2025, following Addendum #1 dated October 17, 2025. The project involves replacement of HVAC/hot water supply and return lines, relocation of kitchen kettles, and associated facility modifications. The existing roof will be replaced with new TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) material by John Manville Single Ply TPO 80 prior to project commencement. Contractors must coordinate access through the rear kitchen entrance and will have access to two escorts with an estimated 15-minute entry and travel time to the work area. The kitchen will remain closed for approximately two weeks during the project period, with after-hours work permitted only if pre-approved by the Sheriff's Office. Contractors must acknowledge receipt of this addendum in the bid documents; failure to do so may render the bid non-responsive.

Key clarifications address scope modifications including removal of existing valves in the overhead ceiling space and installation of new piping, which may require additional roof penetrations depending on new unit connection locations. The warranty requirements for the new TPO roof must be maintained through proper installation procedures. No preferred vendor specification exists for the pipe chase, allowing contractor discretion in material selection. The original source of the existing custom pipe chase remains unknown. All questions regarding kitchen equipment usage duration, roof material specifications, and warranty procedures have been addressed to support accurate bidding.
