About this file

This Addendum #2 document modifies the specifications for contract BL127-21 with Gwinnett County, Georgia for full inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, and installation services of fire alarm systems at various county buildings on an annual contract basis. The addendum adds three previously unlisted facilities to the scope of work: Centerville Senior Center in Snellville with a Honeywell panel requiring 5 pull stations, 8 smoke detectors, 4 heat detectors, and 1 control valve with 1 water-flow device; Morgue and Medical Examiner's Office in unincorporated Gwinnett County with a Notifier panel requiring 10 pull stations, 9 smoke detectors, 2 heat detectors, 3 duct detectors, 1 control valve, and 1 water-flow device; and Lilburn Library and City Hall with an EST panel requiring 12 pull stations, 22 smoke detectors, 2 heat detectors, 7 duct detectors, 1 control valve, and 1 water-flow device. The original contract included a pre-bid meeting on November 5, 2021 at 10:00 AM via WebEx, with a question deadline of November 9, 2021 at 12:00 PM and bid submission deadline of November 16, 2021 at 2:50 PM.

The addendum modifies the bid schedule to clarify that quoted prices remain firm for one initial year plus four additional optional renewal years, with bidders able to propose percentage increases or decreases for renewal periods if desired. The document also addresses current operational procedures, noting that Gwinnett County requests masks be worn inside county buildings, although masks are not required, and body temperature screening occurs upon entry to most county facilities. Acknowledgment of this addendum on the Quote Schedule is mandatory; failure to do so may result in a bid being deemed non-responsive. The document was issued by Brittany Taylor, Purchasing Associate II, on November 9, 2021.
