About this file

This is Addendum #2 to solicitation BL114-22 issued by the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners in Georgia for the provision of septic tank and lift station pumping, maintenance, installation, and repair services on an annual contract with four options to renew. The addendum extends the bid submission deadline to 2:50 p.m. local time on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. The original solicitation established a baseline fleet requirement of one 4,000-gallon pump truck and seven 3,000-gallon pump trucks to convey the scope and scale of the county's service needs. However, the county clarified that prospective contractors are encouraged to submit bids as long as they can provide the necessary services outlined in the scope of work, and the county reserves the right to request additional information and conduct further investigations to determine bidder capability and to award in its best interest.

The addendum requires that all bidders sign and return the addendum document with their bid submission, with failure to do so potentially resulting in a bid being deemed non-responsive. Gwinnett County does not accept electronic submittals for formal solicitations and requires all bids to be received in physical form by the specified deadline. Additionally, the county maintains an ineligible source list, and any firms currently debarred, suspended, or listed on this ineligible source list are prohibited from submitting offers or bids during the period of their ineligibility.

BL114-22

Provision of Septic Tank and Lift Station Pumping, Maintenance, Installation, and Repair

Services on an Annual Contract

The date to receive bids has been extended until 2:50 P.M. local time on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.

Please see the below summation of questions and answers for the above solicitation.

Questions:

Q1. Please confirm that contractors are required to meet the qualification of a minimum of one (1) 4,000-gallon pump truck and seven (7) 3,000-gallon pump trucks in their fleet.

A1. As long as a prospective contractor can provide the necessary services within the Scope of Services, they are encouraged to submit a bid. This baseline was established to convey the size and scope of the County’s needs. Per Section II, Qualifications, “The County reserves the right to request additional information or make further investigations to determine the ability of the bidder to perform.” The County will continue to reserve the right to award in its best interest.

This addendum should be signed in the space provided below and returned with your bid. Failure to do so may result in your bid being deemed non-responsive.

Thank you, Casey Beauston Purchasing Associate II
