About this file
This is an addendum to solicitation BL022-23 issued by Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners for the provision of epoxy floor replacement services on an annual contract basis. The addendum postpones the bid opening date to March 8, 2023, and clarifies specifications for the flooring work. The County expects epoxy floor replacement services across multiple facility types, including bay floors with drains, bathrooms, hallways, and other areas. Specific facility plans will be provided by the County upon request and prior to project commencement. Contractors may schedule site visits to evaluate the facilities and existing concrete floor conditions. The work does not include removal or replacement of toilet fixtures, partitions, or thresholds. Contractors should note that bathroom and bay floor work will involve floor drains.
The addendum provides critical pricing clarification regarding bid schedule item #4, which specifies a double broadcast ceramic carpet #400 quartz flooring system. Contractors are instructed to price only the quartz cost on this line item, as items #2, #3, and #5 separately account for primer, first coat, second coat, grout coat, and seal coat expenses. All bids must be submitted by 2:50 p.m. on the due date, and bidders must sign and return the addendum with their bid submission or risk having their bid deemed non-responsive. Gwinnett County does not accept electronic submittals for formal solicitations, and firms on the County's ineligible source list are prohibited from submitting bids.
