About this file

Summary

This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by Alpine School District for fencing services and repairs. The District seeks qualified vendors to provide comprehensive fencing services on an as-needed basis from December 2, 2026, through 2031. Requested services include materials, design, installation, labor, maintenance, and repairs for various fencing projects throughout the District's buildings and properties. Specific work encompasses new fence installations, replacements, renovations, upgrades, modifications, and repairs to perimeter fencing, security fencing, athletic-field fencing, gates, access gates, posts, panels, barriers, backstops, protective netting, and related components. The RFP deadline is 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, with submissions required through Utah Public Procurement Place (UPPP). The District anticipates awarding contracts to multiple vendors based on best overall value. The contract commences December 2, 2026, with pricing guaranteed for one year and continuing potential through five years, subject to thirty-day cancellation notice for lack of funding or poor performance.

Evaluation occurs in two stages using weighted criteria totaling 100 points, with an 80-point minimum threshold required to advance from stage one to stage two. Stage one assesses company history and profile (25 points), demonstrated technical capability and expertise (30 points), and references (15 points). Stage two evaluates cost proposals (30 points), calculated using a formula where the lowest proposed cost receives full points and competing proposals receive proportional points based on cost comparison. Vendors must meet mandatory minimums including five years in business, submission of required schedules (A, B, and C), current business and contractor licenses, and proof of liability and workers compensation insurance. References require minimum three similar projects with descriptions, dates, costs, and contact information. The District notes anticipated reconfiguration effective July 1, 2027, into three separate districts (Aspen Peaks, Timpanogos, and Lake Mountain), with awarded vendors required to honor existing pricing and terms with resulting entities.
