About this file
This document contains Bid Specifications for the THISGRIP 37 S. Main St. Project, prepared for a local government bid opening on June 17, 2024, at 2:00 PM. The project involves two primary scopes of work: roofing and window replacement. The roofing component includes removal and replacement of approximately 4,000 sq ft of roof, which involves removing existing roofing materials, inspecting and replacing wood decking, removing a brick chimney, installing new membrane flashings, and adding a roof access hatch. The window replacement work includes removing 26 existing windows on the third floor and installing new Harvey brand Classic series White vinyl replacement windows, with specific requirements for window specifications, lead-safe practices, and installation details.
The bid specifications outline comprehensive requirements for contractor compliance, including adherence to state and city codes, obtaining necessary permits and insurance, meeting OSHA regulations, and providing a 10-year manufactured roof system warranty. Contractors must follow strict guidelines for material substitutions, change orders, and work performance, with mandatory safety protocols and cleanup requirements. The project emphasizes lead-safe practices for window replacement, requires EPA RRP certification, and specifies technical details such as low-e glass requirements, U-factor ratings, and installation of sash limit devices and fiberglass half screens. No specific budget or funding sources are detailed in the provided documents.
