About this file
This is a Bid Bond form issued by the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) in Idaho for use by contractors submitting proposals for the Cloverdale Road widening project from Victory Road to Overland Road. The project involves widening Cloverdale Road to a five-lane configuration, constructing median islands, a multi-use pathway, and pedestrian ramps on both sides of the roadway. Additional work includes epoxy coating repairs to three bridge decks, replacement of an existing Eightmile Creek pipe with a forty-eight-inch reinforced concrete pipe, installation and modification of irrigation piping and slide gates, construction of a drainage basin, installation of Pedestrian Hybrid Beacons at two locations, and sanitary sewer improvements to be performed by the City of Boise. Contractors awarded the contract must furnish Performance and Labor and Material Payment bonds within ten days, not including weekends and legal holidays, after contract presentation.
The bid bond amount is set at ten percent (10%) of the total proposal amount. The bond serves as a guarantee that the principal contractor will enter into the contract with ACHD in accordance with the terms of the submitted proposal and award. The surety agent's power-of-attorney must be attached to the bond. This form is optional for contractors and bonding companies to use, with the actual contract execution and bonding requirements contingent upon award and the contractor's compliance with the specified timeline for bond delivery.
